Instructions
  1. Put flank in a ziplock bag and add soy sauce. Marinate for 1-8 hours.
  2. Once flank is finished marinating, turn oven broil and fan on.
  3. Place flank on cutting board or in clay casserole/pyrex dish large enough to allow the flank to lay flat. Score the flank on both sides in a diagonal grid like manner. Ensure the cuts are SHALLOW, you do not want to cut completely through the meat. Once flank it cut, place in cooking casserole dish.
  4. Mince garlic cloves and divide equally into two sections. Take one section and spread it over the top of the flank. Ensure to put garlic chunk in the crevices of the scores. You want to embed the garlic into those slits you made. Turn flank over and repeat on the other side. Pour remaining soy sauce over the top. Drizzle olive oil over the top.
  5. Place flank into the oven. Cook steak for 7-10 minutes depending on wellness preference. Turn steak over and cook an additional 7-10 minutes. If the flank is larger, cook longer; if the flank is smaller, cook less.
  6. Once flank is done, take the dish out of the oven and place tin foil over the dish, sealing it tightly to allow the meat to rest for 5 minutes or so.
  7. Once rested, take meat out of dish and place on cutting board. Cut flank on the bias. Place steak back into cooking dish along with any garlic and juices that may have come out.
  8. Service it up!
